Productive Days

November 1, 2009

Do you ever have those days where you just want to be productive?

I have been putting off schoolwork for a week (perhaps because I have been sick?) and am definitely not caught up in it. I need to clean my apartment and do laundry, as well. In addition to that, I will probably leave my Zune plugged in all day to sync. More than 4,300 songs and we aren’t nearly half the alphabet through ripping CDs. Oops. I am beginning to have to downconvert music to fit on my MP3 player.

Speaking of my health and sickness, I seem to be better now. I need to take my last antibiotic pill today and I should be good.

Today is also my one-year anniversary with my girlfriend-yay!

Just one of those days…

October 26, 2009

You know when you just have one of those days?

I have been sick with some kind of virus since last Wednesday. I went to a clinic on Friday. The nurse told me to gargle saltwater and take Ibuprofen. It’s now Monday. I am not feeling any better and I was supposed to give a major speech this morning at school.

I am not at school giving that speech. I am at the doctor’s office waiting to be seen. I forgot halfway here whether or not I closed the garage door, and then once I was on my way again, I forgot my insurance card.

Oogh.

Oh, well. At least they’re giving me antibiotics now. Maybe that will help.

Coming Soon: Norwegian government keeps record of bowel movements

The title does not appear to be horribly far-off.

Lutefisk and loot: Tax records open in Norway

That’s just incredible to me. I can maybe understand government officials needing to make their tax records public. Maybe. Even that is somewhat of a stretch.

Why is it anybody’s business how much his or her neighbor makes and pays in taxes? Did Norwegians have any concern over this?

Quote: A 2007 survey by research group Synovate revealed that only 32 percent of the Norwegian public wanted the tax list published, and 46 percent were against it.

That’s just great. Put something into effect that has those kinds of statistics backing it.

The One Where I Forgot to Blog

October 25, 2009

Once again, I completely forgot about my blog. It sat completely dormant since May. I went through hell (and $26) to get the domain discuss.nu renewed–and then did nothing with it.

It is clear to me that I am not a blogger. I have never kept a diary and I do not foresee myself doing so anytime in the future. I would never write my innermost personal thoughts down on a piece of paper that nobody else could ever read. If I would not do that, I certainly would not do the same on the internet where everybody can see. Logically, you might conclude that you probably will not read anything personal about me here. Completely untrue, I probably will post some personal experiences of mine; however, most of my posts will be kept to some abstract and perhaps philosophical ideas.

My name is Kyle Baczynski. I live in an apartment in Woodridge, Illinois and attend the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. This is all in the United States, of course. No better place on Earth–with the new socialist government and all. Oh, I am obviously a Conservative. I do make that distinction, by the way, between Conservative and Republican. Not the same thing. I’m politically-minded and regularly listen to Rush Limbaugh. I will do my best not to bore you here with political rants all the time.

I am talented with computers. I work for a commercial emailing company based in Chicago, Illinois. My boss is pretty cool, and so are all the people that I work with. Besides computers, I have interests in many other things–cooking, music, movies, and aviation just to name a few.

Fun Fact: I was considering attending Lewis University (Romeoville, Illinois) for an Aviation/Flight degree. Instead I am at St. Francis for an Information Technology degree.

Outside of my regular interests–and exorbitant work schedule–I spend most of my time with friends. My wonderful girlfriend goes by the name of Kelly. She is incredibly talented and just all-around great. We will have been together for one year on November 1st. This is where people usually go “aww how cute!” Really, it is.

I think that is about all I have to say about myself, now. Oh–yes–obviously I love two things. Em dashes (–) and cliché post titles. Just kidding about the latter, of course.

That’s all. Ciao!
